Finished the 12 week course and feeling much healthier than before. Have kept the weight I have lost off and intend to continue with this.

The course has certainly got me thinking more about what I'm eating and how it effects my body. I now find that I can't eat certain foods anymore - I was a huge chocolate girl! But, now it's just tastes of sugar and milk, which ultimately is what it is!

My palette changed very quickly and certain foods taste different to before. I hated ginger before this diet and now I love it! I now love more clean tastes where I can really distinguish the flavours of the foods I'm eating. I also feel so much happier in myself. My moods lifted quite quickly after eating the alkaline foods and my energy have definitely remained higher than before. Long may it continue. My aunt saw me recently and said that I looked the best she has seen me in years! If that's not a sign this diet works, I don't know what is. I felt chuffed to bits.

"Hello,
I have had ME from a flu virus since 2002 and then got a whole lot worse after some surgery went very wrong in 2005 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and have been pretty much housebound ever since!

Gone went my business, my salsa dancing and dog walking. In came the "joys" and boredom of daytime TV! All very upsetting but I was not going to give up or give in!! As I had time to kill I ended up in a bookstore near the clinic . I bought a book called "The PH miracle" (and) I followed many of the alkaline tips in the book and the principles set out in their Energize for Life Alkaline Diet Course.

I have been following the principles for about two months now and feel it is has made the BIGGEST difference to my health so far. More than anything else I have tried in the last few years. My life is changing in the most positive of ways.....

I can do my own shopping now, go out for walks, have gone back to building my business again, much less muscle pain. I went to Brighton recently and walked up and down the peer and along the front. Just 6 months ago I did that same trip....BUT in a wheelchair.

I am not there yet but I think my body has the best chance to heal in its present alkaline state and I am improving week by week

It really is an excellent course, no doubt a labour of love. The materials are just the right amount and very nicely presented. The whole package is a lot more professional and helpful than I expected actually (I am a pharmacist so I like the science), and it really feels like something that will change my life (sounds naff but true).

I have to say, your recipes are delicious and I am even finding myself choosing healthier options and feeling really good about it - like I get to have a fresh feast (eg adapting your wrap recipe with avo, sprouts, pea-shoots and sunflower greens) rather than an egg mayo or cheese sandwich or whatever for lunch (Jason Vale's "I get to" rather than "I have to" philosophy!). Most of the time anyway :-) I am a bit concerned about the lack of wine on the course, but I expect that will wane with time!

My main plus points:

+ shopping list (really helpful) and recipes are excellent, as are support materials

+ course is easy to stick to with schedules etc, don't feel pressured to be 100% perfect from day 1

+ increased energy

+ going to the loo like clockwork (a miracle after having problems for years)

+ skin problem (dry, flaky, sensitive patches) that has been there for at least a year has cleared up almost entirely

+ spending less time in the kitchen (my colleagues are very worried I will stop baking goodies for them!)

+ feeling emotionally a lot stronger.

Things are still going very well with the course. Managing to stick to it even though I'm away most of the week with work!

The exercise is going great guns, now doing 60mins of running, even though I'm supposed to be doing 45mins. I never thought I'd ever be able to run this far with out cramping in my legs!

So far I have lost 26lbs, going from 15st 2lbs to 13st 2lbs, and feeling and looking much better for it!
