Hello All!!
Does anyone know where I can get a good quality soy protein powder in bulk?? I'm currently using LA Muscle but can only find it in 980g tubs? At 35 GBP!!! I used to get whey protein in 10lb tubs for about the same price!!! Anyone have the same problem?? Or know anywhere??
Squidgy.
Hi Squidgy! :)
Well, if you can handle the bizarre taste of soy protein then good for you!
This is by FAR the best source of protein (apart from hemp protein - you can get that here) on the web:
It is great value and the customizer is fantastic:

It lets you add flax, Chlorella, vitamins and all sorts to your protein mix.
If you are vegan, or concerned about acid/alkaline balance then I would recommend hemp protein though.

See, I dont mind the taste of Soy, just tried soy milk for the first time today and didnt think it was that bad!! I just have two scoops soy, a banana, tspn of flax seed oil, maybe some fresh berries??? Tastes ok! Is this recipe ok??? acid?? alkaline?? eternal damnation????
hmmm...eternal damnation for you i'm afraid.
Look, while it is not a pH miracle in itself - that smoothie will do wonders for you if you are working out. Just think of it as a large proportion of your 30% in the 70/30 acid/alkaline ratio.
If you can, then go for unsweetend soy milk and drop the berries.
Don't know why, but typing 'drop the berries' has made me think of BROS.
Anyway,
Hope this helps

OH PLEASE LORD!!! WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS????? NO BLOODY BERRIES!!!! GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD!!!
Heh heh
Look - dont worry too much about the small things like this - like I said somewhere before, transitioning is the key - not going cold turkey.
If keeping your berries in will make sure you stick to this part of your new diet then stick with it.
Just make sure you get the big stuff right (i.e. eating a LOT of green stuff and drinking plenty of water) and you get rid of the biggest offenders (sweets, fizzy drinks, chocolate, crisps, fried foods, ciggies, trans fats, refined foods, too much meat & dairy etc).
Chilll mon.

I actually use VEGA meal replacement powder. It is a great source of protein, completely vegan, made 30% from raw food and is very alkalizing.
It isn't cheap (and not sure if you can get it in the UK), but it tastes great.
you can read more about it here. The person who created the product (Brendan Brazier) also has a great book about raw food and fitness (called Thrive). Check it out!

Looks good - I will have to see if it is something we could get onto Energise.... :)
