Your weight
loss goals are attainable if you consume fewer calories than
you expend. It’s not brain
surgery, but it takes will power and perseverance. A step in the
right direction is to journal
your food intake, exercise, thoughts and moods. Journaling can
help you to identify what is going on with your lifestyle, either
good or bad, and can prompt you to make slight changes to become
a healthier person.
How to Journal: Online journals make it easier, but if there
is no access to a computer, keep a notepad with you at all times
to write down what
you consume. You can always transfer it later in the day. No one
ever has to see your food diary, so make sure that you are completely
honest with portions and what you consumed. If you walked into
a co-worker’s office and grab a handful of jelly beans from
their candy jar, ask for a sticky note to right it down and put
in your pocket. Try not to give yourself any reason not to journal.
A last bit of advice for you ... keep it up! Journaling only gets
easier the more you do it. my-calorie-counter offers a FREE online
diet and exercise journal and includes a list of recent food and
exercise entries for those creatures of habit that eat the same
foods with only slight variations. Additionally, my-calorie-counter provides the ability to create custom lists of foods, meals and
activities that you create once, and is then saved into your options
list forever to make it easy to find ... day-in and day-out.
Happy
journaling!
