Weleda grows its own plants organically and biodynamically, although they are not labelled ‘organic’ as they also contain mineral ingredients which cannot be labeled organic as they are not cultivated. Also pure essential oils used act not only as natural fragrances but also as natural preservatives. A conscious responsibility towards the environment underlies every detail of operation, from the biodynamic raising of plants to the recyclable packaging of the end product. All Weleda products are suitable for vegetarians. Weleda toothpastes are suitable for those on a gluten-free diet. Some products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
