Weleda grows its own plants organically and biodynamically, although they are not labelled organic as they also contain mineral ingredients which cannot be labeled organic as they are not cultivated. Also pure essential oils used act not only as natural fragrances but also as natural preservatives.

A conscious responsibility towards the environment underlies every detail of operation, from the biodynamic raising of plants to the recyclable packaging of the end product.
