Issue #16
After a slight pause I am now back from holidays and back on the blogging quest!
- Jim: blogs a subject close to my heart - the apparent heartless nature of food manufacturers and their quest to sell as much as possible regardless of our health and wellbeing. As ever with posts on diet-blog.com, the comments are almost as useful as the post!
- Holly: talks about how important it is to have supportive people around you when you are making changes in your life. I agree wholeheartedly with this post - and it follows on from the thinking about creating a supporting peer group and not letting anyone around you drag you down or belittle your efforts.
- Meredith: gets a mention because this post is both a nice read AND it makes me realise that perhaps I am not the most geeky person on earth. Cheers Meredith! As an aside, I found this blog from reading runfatassrun another of my favourite blogs - and it gives me a warm glow when I realise how great blogging is and how many other blogs and people it puts you in touch/contact/awareness with. Long live blogging!
- Regina: makes a post that is just sensational. And I am not kidding. This is another new blog to me and I am very glad I have found it because we seem to have some similar views. The post critiques the study that claims dairy can reduce the liklihood of type 2 Diabetes. Personally, I think that the data from the Women’s Health Study has been mauled to death and I have seen it being used to ‘prove’ that milk is both good AND bad for us. I think it is great that there are bloggers out there that are encouraging us not to just accept everything that we read.
- Helena: gives us an excellent and informative post on the dangers of MSG - well worth reading before you order that Chinese takeaway
Another week, another THDBR….
Have a great weekend!
