OK, this is only a really quick post as I have got a couple of other bigger posts brewing at the moment.
Basically, since I have been in Australia I have twice stared having a cold in the face…and laughed at its feeble attempts to defy my immune system.
Having set myself the lofty goal, over a year ago, of never having another cold I have done really well so far. Those two times were the only close shaves I have had and I think I can attribute 90% of my success to this one tip:
- tiny chunks of raw root ginger
Simple as that. I would cut them up, put them in a mini little container and carry them around with me. Then whenever I felt that feeling (you know the feeling) in my throat I just chewed and sucked on some ginger. The pain would go and I would feel fine. After about two days of this I was totally back to full fitness and health.
Bear in mind that this was also done within the parameters of the other part of my goal (that I was not going to resort to any cold remedy drugs (Lemsip, Beechams, Night Nurse etc.) ever again. I just upped my intake of veggies, water and green drinks. Simple.
So remember - feeling like a cold is coming…get those tiny chunks of ginger going and experience the blessedness of their tiny, chunky, gingery goodness.

Hi guys,
You would be surprised actually! I do love ginger anyway - but when you have got that sore throat feeling and that impending cold ‘taste’ etc the ginger actually cuts through all of that and is a great relief!
I have pretty big chunks, but if you find it too much, cut them smaller and smaller! Honestly - it works!!!
