Get Your Health News Delivered!

by Ross on May 19, 2006

OK - at last, and after many emails and comments and suggestions from all corners of the globe I have added a free subscription service to the EFL blog.

What Does This Mean

It means that if you subscribe you will receive an email every 10 days that simply gives you a summary of the 5 or 6 most recent posts to the EFL blog.

Nothing more. No cheesy sales pitches, no spam, no junk, no affiliate bull****, nothing other than a summary of what new posts have been made.

There are two reasons why I have added the newsletter functionality to the blog:

  1. Because from the emails that I get, a lot of my regular readers are not bloggy type people - they are just interested in health.

Unless you are a blogger, why should I expect you to be into RSS, feeds, social networking or tagging? You are most likely to be into emailing, and so I am going to open my line of communication up to you - so you can now get updates via email in a format that pretty much resembles RSS.

  2. Secondly, why should I expect you to make the effort of coming here. Holly and a few others have blogged about it - it is really hard to keep up with all of the great blogs and health sites out there. Should I just be sitting here blogging and waiting for you to make the effort to come and say hi, or should I be remove that effort for you and give you the best resources I have got in the way that makes it easiest for you to use them?

You can learn more here - or just stick your email address up in the subscribe box up there on your right.

About spam - I hate spam. I hate it with a passion. I have got absolutely no reason to spam you. Why would I? What could I possibly spam you about? The only spam message I would send would be one that says ‘Spam is full of saturated fat - don’t eat it!’.

Seriously though - why would I want to **** you off? What would be in it for me? Spamming goes against everything I believe about marketing, communications, the Internet and my morals. Fear not. I am a solid member of the anti-spam campaign.

p.s. If you hate spam too I suggest you use gmail - it is about the most effective spamless email service I have ever used and it is free. Oh and check out CAUCE and Why Spam is Bad.

p.p.s. If you are wondering where my marketing ethics come from - see here –> Seth Godin

I am obviously not a scamster or a spamster.

If you have ever read my blog you will be able to see that straight away. I am adding this functionality so that I can take away the hard work from you, the reader and put it onto myself.
