Thursday Health & Diet Blog Round-up (THDBR) #15

by Ross on June 25, 2006

OK – third time lucky. I am working on a laptop which is something I do not normally do and I keep hitting the backspace key, which is making my browser go back one page. And with WordPress this immediately deletes my post.

So for the THIRD time, here is the THDBR,

  • Karen: gives a very informative post about the health benefits of maca (natures viagra – oo-er!). She even finishes off with a tasty looking maca recipe! This is what blogging is all about!
  • Helena: dispells a billion myths in her post about protein in a vegan diet. This is a great post and I am loving Helena’s blog more and more every time I read it!
  • Twice the Man: celebrated his 37th birthday this weeks – good on ‘yer and congrats! We’re great fan’s of his blog and are wishing him all the best for the year ahead!
  • ArleneWKW: gives a very insightful post about binge triggers. I agree with her and Kim completely in that prevention is always better than cure. Her point about noting and understanding the triggers is a good one. Once you understand the trigger it is a lot easier to beat!
  • Steve: has a blog that is a goldmine. I recommend everyone here to go and spend at least 3 hours reading Steve’s archives. This week he has posted 10 ways to ‘relaxify’ your workspace. I am a big fan of numbers 1, 3 and 10!
  • And finally Kim: wins post of the week simply for this one statement: “My main aim when I embarked on this new way of living and eating was to become healthier. Losing weight was always a side effect of that rather than the main goal.” I have a lot of time and respect for this approach to health – and if everyone else adopted this I think we would all be a lot better off!

Adios!
