Thursday Health & Diet Blog Round-up (THDBR) #17

by Ross on July 23, 2006

Hello! I am very excited about the THDBR this week as I have found loads of new blogs lately! Well, they are not new per se, but they are new to me. If you have got a blog that has never been featured – let me know in the comments as I am always looking for new blogs and generally do not have enough time in the day to keep on looking!

So here is the THDBR #17:

  • Nikki: blogs about how it doesnt hurt to try new things!
  • Refigerator Raid: lists a whole load of ‘fun’ exercise that burns calories – a top pick for me is ‘play some music’ which burns 80+ calories per hour (well, my top pick apart from the obvious anyway)!
  • Disease Proof: point us to new research that has been undertaken to assess the effectiveness of energy drinks – worth a read.
  • Jeff: gives us an outstanding introduction to meditation.
  • Kieran: discusses his base metabolic rate (BMR) – and if you are serious about weight loss then you need to find out about yours too!
  • Jim: does some investigating of his own to see if there is really any difference between standard Coca-Cola and then what would appear to be a more healthy choice: Lipton Iced Tea. The results are not surprising…
  • Steve: makes a characteristically long and extremely informative post as part of his Ask Steve series about how to keep up with accelerating change. This is another great article from him, and as ever I urge you to read his back catalogue!

As ever – let me know if there is anything I have missed!

Have a great weekend!
