alkaline pastaOnce again, I cannot take credit for this one and have to give full props to Tania (tweet her here) who made this one up randomly. It was one of those recipes that just gets thrown together the night before you go to do your weekly shop, with whatever is left in the fridge - and it turned out to be amazing.

It is alkaline, filling, delicious and very, very quick.

I’ll call it:

dr youngHey everyone!

It’s been another prolific week of writing from Dr Young. Here is my overview of his latest research & articles and my thoughts and views:

alkaline diet foodsNOTE: my article has started appearing, plagiarized, on other sites around the Internet, which I guess I take as a complement. Please note that this is the original source. If you see this elsewhere, please let me know in the comments below. Thanks, Ross

I’m often asked: if Dr Young is so sure about this Alkaline Diet theory, why hasn’t anyone ever validated it with a study.

A fair enough question.

My answer is this:

The Best Advice I Will Ever Give You

by Ross on April 24, 2009

alkaline water and hydrationThis is the best piece of advice I have ever been given, and I swear it is the single, best bit of advice I will ever give you or that you will ever read on this blog.

It is simple, it is easy to put into practice and it is very, very affordable (possibly free).

Before I do, I really, really want you to keep an open mind, put any preconceptions aside, stick with me and just take this advice for what it is. You may have heard it before, but I want I really don’t want you to just roll your eyes and tut and say ‘I’ve heard this before’.

alkaline green smoothieThis is such an important recipe in my life! Not only do I have it most days but I also rely upon it so heavily as I know it:

  1. Fills me up for hours
  2. Tastes great, smooth and creamy
  3. Gives me 4-5 serves of fresh, raw vegetables in one hit

I crave this stuff and urge you to try it and bring it into your life!

Alkaline Avocado Power Shake

1 avocado

Naturally Cure Yeast Infections

by Ross on April 15, 2009

get rid of yeast!Itchy, irritating, uncomfortable, embarrassing and yet so easily prevented and so easily cured. Yeast infections can happen to anyone and everyone and it happens to 75% of us!

Your first thought might be to run to the chemist and take the liver-battering, blood-cell-killing, healthy-flora-stripping drugs to get rid of the yeast, but these drugs only mask the problem, they don’t make it go away for good, it will always come back.

But what if I told you there was a surefire, guaranteed way to not only get rid of the yeast infection now, but also to ensure that it never comes back? Sound interesting?

Dr Young Blog Round-Up #1

by Ross on April 14, 2009

dr youngHey all

As you may, or may not know - Dr Young is an incredibly prolific researcher and writer and each week he posts a number of blogs about alkalising, new research, feedback, answers questions etc. It’s an awesome read and a great way to keep your finger on the pulse of the most up-to-date health, wellness and alkaline lifestyle news!

I estimate that 30% of the questions I am asked each week via email are as a result of the blogs Dr Young makes and the points he raises, so each week I aim to summarise and comment on his output and give my opinions!

Grand Master Kimm - SunDoThis is just a quick post, because I’m pretty sure I’ll be blogging a lot about this subject in the future as I get more and more into it.

Basically, thanks to my girlfriend, Tania, I have just discovered SunDo - seriously my favourite form of exercise ever!

I’ll give you some background info from ‘SunDo International’ in a moment, but these are my initial thoughts on it after a handful of sessions.

  • It is a combination of yoga, strength training, acupressure & meditation
  • I leave each session feeling positive, centred, confident & like I’ve had a workout!
