As I get older I’m finding I’m feeling that acidic tummy and am looking into trying to go the 70/30% alkaline diet. Spirulina has always been a favourite energy drink. If it’s alkaline (do you know?) what would you suggest one mixes it with as it would be ghastly with pure water!

From running energiseforlife.com I get dozens of emails every day from people who have questions about the alkaline diet. There are so many people out there who are really excited about starting on a path to acid alkaline balance but who have a reason (sometimes called an ‘excuse’) not to get started. And this is such a shame because these reasons are often founded on shoddy science, misconceptions and lies from the naysayers.

Alkaline Christmas - oxymoronic?

Why to include it, how to start out and the benefits

Not now …… Not right in the middle of winter. Not in the build up to Christmas…! Well the reality is that you can gain the same health benefits from eating raw foods in winter as in those (hard to remember!) summer months.

Really missing my milky coffee so am using rice milk with chicory, taking this to be non acidic- Is this ok? Also used ground barley substitute but stopped as I think this is acidic. Please advise.
