This week I’m bringing you one of my all-time favourites! I can’t recall where I first saw this idea but it has been adapted many, many times to make what I think is an awesome snack, side or main!
It is flavoursome, easy, quick and very very filling. You can make as much or as little as you like and I promise you wont be disappointed. The beauty of it is that it is one of those recipes that all you need is the aubergine (eggplant) and then you can top it with whatever the heck you’ve got in the fridge. It is a ‘fridge clearing’ recipe - you can use it to use up the last bits and pieces of whatever you’ve got before you next go shopping!

With the winter looming over us and shops shockingly setting up for Christmas already, we need some summer sun back in our lives! This cheery collection of coriander, cucumber, capsicums, celery, carrot and lots of other c’s is just such a nice, bright, crisp and flavour-ful dish. I absolutely love it and it goes really, really well with a simple dressing of lemon juice and olive or avocado oil.
Delicious, highly alkalising, raw, crisp and an easy way to get a big hit of veggies.

Worst. Pun. Ever. Sorry for that. The silver lining to that awfully grey cloud is that this is an awesome recipe. Not only is it ridiculously tasty and quick to make, but it is also a 100% highly alkalising salad.
I love the contrast in flavour and texture that the kale provides against the soft, sweet tomatoes.
A Pint of Real Kale
Serves 2
Ingredients
1 Big bunch of Kale
2 Carrots
2 Handfuls of cherry/baby plum tomatoes
1 Lemon, juiced
½ Cup soaked pine nuts
¼ Cup of sesame seeds
1 Medium red onion
Raw black olives
1/4 Cup of Olive/Avocado oil or Udo’s Choice
A pinch of Himalayan Salt
A Few dashes of Bragg Liquid Aminos or pHlavor

This week, the beautifully named ‘colon week’ I’m bringing you a high-fibre recipe to help cleanse your body - but it is also a delicious, delicious meal! Plus, as ever (due to the fact that I make it myself) it is really simple and quick - just the way I like my recipes to be!
Couscous with Tomatoes, Basil and Lentils
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 350ml of fresh vegetable juice (tomato, cucumber, spinach etc - OR you can use V8 or a shop bought veggie juice in this instance)
- 350ml of alkaline/filtered water
- 3 cloves of garlic finely chopped

Strictly speaking, this probably comes under the ‘transitional’ banner - but I will have this for brekkie perhaps once a week. It is a great, filling home-made muesli that is full of Essential Fatty Acids and is therefore great for your body, your skin in particular.
You can have it with whatever type of non-dairy milk you prefer, and I actually have it with very little milk at all. In fact, sometimes I have even been known to have it with a little soy yoghurt and half an apple as a weekend treat. Almond milk is probably the nicest with this but is obviously a little less accessible.

YUM! This is a unique one for me - an alkaline, fully vego pate! What a treat! One that you can make in a few minutes and enjoy with sprouted bread, tortillas or any other alkaline chip!
This literally is one of the best alkaline recipes I’ve ever come across and having tweaked it once or twice it’s ready for the blog. So here it is:
Sun-Dried Tomato Pate
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 cup of soaked sunflower seeds
1/3 cup soaked sun-dried tomatoes
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon finely diced red onion
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
1 clove garlic roughly chopped or smacked flat
1/4 teaspoon Himalayan salt
Sprinkle of black pepper

Half a small aubergine
A large handful of fresh spinach
½ onion

This week I’m blogging and newsletter writing from Greece! I know! Jet-setting all over the place at the moment!
OK - so as I’m in Greece and I thought I’d whip out a nice Greek alkaline recipe! This recipe is not 100% alkaline because the ingredients are ‘cooked’ a little, but I’ve tweaked the traditional recipe to make it more raw and more alkaline.
Of course, serve with a big green salad and you’re rocking!

Hey y’all
I’m blogging and newsletter writing from Turkey (Oludeniz of all places) for the next couple of weeks so I thought it might be nice to allow my current cuisine to influence the alkaline recipes!
Eating alkaline in Turkey is actually pretty easy! Salads really are a staple here, for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I’ve been enjoying big bowls of lettuce, cucumber, tomato and olives drizzled in olive oil for breakfast! Filling and giving me four of my five-a-day before 8am!
I’ve also been enjoying loads of aubergine dishes, of which this is one of my favourites! So here goes!

This is a really, really, honestly, really beautiful recipe. Great as a starter soup, I first had this at Bentley Restaurant in Surry Hills, Sydney as a Gazpacho Trio (standard tomato, almond & cucumber and herb - which I am working on!) and it was the Gaspacho aux amandes that stood out!
This is a transitional or treat recipe because it does contain a little bread - but I am working on a work around for this to make it more alkaline. Still I’d say it fits into the 70/30 alkaline acid balance really rather well.
