An Unlikely Source of Alkaline Water…

by Ross on November 2, 2011

Alkaline Water ManI’ve written a LOT lately about alkaline water, and water ionizers, and how you can ensure you get the hydration habit embedded into your life.

And in this article I am going to reveal an unlikely, often overlooked, but powerful source of alkaline hydration…

Quite simply, I believe that hydration is THE most important part of any diet, healthy lifestyle or approach to health – no matter what your goal.

I always advise people to aim for between 2-4 litres of good quality, preferably alkaline, ionized water each day – but getting enough (or remembering to) is often the hardest part.

7 Steps to Alkaline Hydration

by Ross on October 27, 2011

alkaline water pourYou all know how important it is to stay hydrated right? Of course you do. It is THE most important part of the alkaline diet and no matter what your health goal – hydration will be at the core of it.

However, “how to stay hydrated” is always at the top of most peoples biggest questions/hurdles when trying to get healthy. It is a combination of not enjoying plain water and/or simply not REMEMBERING to drink enough. People often tell me that drinking 3-4 litres is too hard and they can’t do it – but I think that if you break it down to: 3 litres divided by 15 waking hours…drinking 200ml per hour is not that hard…so it really is remembering to drink enough AND making it enjoyable.

Your Tap Water is Shocking

by Ross on August 9, 2011

Shower Filter Water WomanI’ve long had a hunch that the tap water we drink, the water our government/state is piping into our homes is not good for us. But I’ve never seen such conclusive evidence.

A 3-year study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) assembled an unprecedented database of 20 million drinking water quality tests performed by water utilities since 2004 and found…get this…316 contaminants in US tap water.

And most scary…Among the contaminants were 202 chemicals that are not subject to any government regulation or safety standards for drinking water

alkaline herbal teaHi guys

Since I’ve been promoting hydration as the most important part of the alkaline diet I’ve had heaps of questions asking me whether herbal teas are alkaline, so I thought it would be a nice idea to blog about my favourite alkaline herbal teas!

Is Boiled Water Alkaline?

The first thing to address is this – is boiled water alkaline? The answer is yes! Water that is ‘naturally’ alkaline due to ionization or mineral content holds it’s pH wonderfully. You can use a water ionizer, alkaline water jug or other filter to make alkaline water, boil this and you’re set. If you’ve ionized the water, it also holds its ORP too.

If you’re serious about building muscle but are wondering how this works with the alkaline approach you HAVE to watch this video.

Ronnie Ruiz, the CEO of Chanson Water interviewed ‘Big’ Dan Hill, the youngest winner of the IFBB bodybuilding competition. He uses Chanson water to stay hydrated and to recover faster from intense workouts.

Ronnie chats to Dan about the importance of hydration, recovery, and more.

Are All Types of Water Equal?

by Ross on March 30, 2011

Article by Gareth Edwards

Water LogoThis week Gareth Edwards, one of the UK’s best qualified nutritionists and alkaline diet experts, discusses whether or not all types of water are equal. You might think that simply drinking plenty amounts of any type of water is healthy for you, but you will be surprised to learn in Gareth’s article that there are great quality differences.

Are All Types of Water Equal?

Back in the day when music was the “food” that fuelled my body, rather than sprouts and an occasional shot of wheatgrass (when I’m being “good”), I used to be particularly keen (musically!) on a guy called Gary Clail. “Everybody needs food, clothes and shelter, proper health care and clean running water” he used to bark, over particularly infectious dance beats.

After my recent Alkaline Water Q&A Session there was ONE KEY QUESTION that kept coming up over and over again: what are the easiest and cheapest ways to make alkaline water?

In this short video I run through all of the techniques:

> what they are
> how they work
> the costs
> the pro’s and con’s

Included are ‘lemon water’, adding sodium bicarb, alkaline jugs, alkaline sticks, pH drops and more!

Enjoy

Ross with an alkaline stickHi everyone

I was recently emailed the following question about using an alkaline stick vs an alkaline water ionizer:

Hy Ross,
I read your comments and I appreciate your input. Are you failiar with the “ALKALINE STICK”? I saw this on a website. The person heading the website makes detrimental reference to the ionized machines. He appears to be very versed in the science field. I would make direct reference to the website, but I do not recall its address. Perhaps Google might help. I am thinking of going the Alkaline stick. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am really excited about this blog post because if you are like the vast majority of people (and anything like I was a few years ago) then the tip I am about to reveal will instantly and dramatically change your energy and change your life.

If you read my last blog post in this series “Change Your Breakfast, Change Your Life“, you will remember me saying how when you live with energy, this has a huge knock on effect to your whole life. Everything just starts getting better – your career, your finances, your relationships…everything.
