Energise & Cleanse Your Life by Denise Kelly

I am a great believer in everything happening for a reason, and nothing happens by chance. Two weeks ago I saw the first sign of spring when I was walking my little doggy! The daffodils were starting to appear and it made me smile. If you take notice of nature and the seasons that surround us our bodies naturally try to tell us what we need. For example in the dark winter months naturally we should all be hibernating and going to bed much earlier than normal to replenish our bodies for spring. That is what animals do in the wild anyway, but unfortunately due to working demands, activities and generally busy lives we tend to just carry on regardless, which does weaken our immune systems. In the time leading up to spring naturally we get a new vigor for life, the evenings are getting lighter, its ever so slightly warmer and often you hear people talking about having a good spring clean! Many of us do actually spring clean our houses, remove all the junk and have a good clear out. When we have completed this task how do we feel? Refreshed, energized, clearer in the mind because there is less clutter!! If we can spend the time and energy on our houses, what about putting the time and energy into our bodies?

So, after the walk I arrived home and had a phone call with a lovely lady that I have got to know over the last few months called Rian. Rian is Spanish and quite a special person. We have connected I believe, as we are on similar missions in life! She wants to make everyone well and healthy and has a real passion for people, as do I. She has trained at the Hippocrates Center, in Florida and has worked with some very seriously ill patients from Cancer, Osteoporosis, Heart Disease, and Arthritis etc. When she came back to England it was her dream to be able to offer a similar set up here in the UK. Her partner agreed that this was a great idea and they opened the most amazing house in Winchester called Health Etcetera, which only caters for 8 people in one hit, which is unbelievably personal and caring. I had been looking for sometime for a place to refer seriously ill patients to, and those patients wishing to go to another level with their health and felt the need for more support than I could offer on a daily basis. When this place appeared in my life I knew it was the right.

Everything they do is based around alkalizing the body, making every cell in the body alive, energetic and healthy. This is what I try to achieve with every client I see, and the theory behind the whole treatment, is that given the right environment, the right foods, the emotional support and healing therapies the body CAN heal itself from any disease. This is quite a strong statement to make, but is backed up by science in the books of Dr Robert Young and Brian Clements. As I have stated before I am witnessing time and time again the beauty of self-healing with so many of my own clients. If you are interested in inspirational stories try reading about a lady called Ann Wigmore, who cured herself from cancer by drinking juiced wheatgrass. She was the person that was brave enough all those years ago to stand up and say the green stuff works!! If animals are sick…what do they eat? Grass. Chlorophyll is the most nourishing substance we can consume and it is in all your dark green leafy vegetables, and lots of your super foods! If you research the information and healing power of wheat grass, and you look into the evidence, and the scientific proof of its healing properties you will understand it is a quite remarkable super food.

To cut along story short, I was invited to go and stay at Health Etcetera in Winchester for 5 days over half term just to experience part of the program so I can honestly inform my clients who I think would benefit from this amazing place with accuracy and confidence. Once I got over the panic of half term, and where were my children going to go and could they possibly survive without me, (Which of course they did, and probably had far more fun with their grandparents!!) I was lucky enough to go and complete a three-day vegetable juice fast, which I found quite difficult, but liberating at the same time.

It was also suggested to me that I have my first colonic, and although I was fully aware of the benefits I was still completely terrified, but contrary to popular belief it was completely pain free and made me feel like I was walking on air when I came out as I felt so cleansed and rejuvenated literally from the inside out! On offer every day was an abundance of Yoga, Meditation, Rumba, sound therapy, Reiki and the most exquisite raw food (once we were eating again!) that you could possibly imagine. This kind of detox for me was not just on a physical level, but on a very emotional level too. Although I knew the relationship between emotions and health, it is now crystal clear to me how many of my clients suppress their emotions with food, coffee, chocolate, medication and are only addicted because they simply cannot face the real core of the emotions that’s going on inside.

I feel very honoured to have gone through this process and feel like my knowledge has grown even further than ever before! I feel amazing and vibrant and even more passionate about helping people get their health challenges back on track as it has given me a renewed zest for the importance of healing and not suppressing. Its not for everyone I am sure, but the reason I wanted to share this story is because most people when facing a disease of any kind feel frightened, vulnerable and don’t quite know who or what to trust. I wanted to promote this special place because the knowledge of therapists under their roof is incredible, and knowledge is power. Once people have a better understanding of how the body works, and what it needs it is possible to reverse disease with the right tools and help.

This kind of information gives you the choice to make decisions that suit you and your body, after all we are all very individual and each and every one of us has different needs. If we take time to be still, we always have the ability to listen to our own bodies and intuitively know what it needs.

This week Gareth Edwards, our Alkaline Diet Expert and highly qualified nutritionist, is writing about the numerous health benefits of fresh juicing.

If you want to become and remain healthy, alkaline and energised then you should read Gareth’s article below.

He explains why making our own fresh juices is so beneficial for our health and why a green vegetable juice is about as close to nutritional perfection as it’s possible to get.

Health Benefits of Fresh Juice

Solid gold nutrition …… a green vegetable juice is about as close to nutritional perfection as it’s possible to get. For those of you who read what I write regularly, you may remember that last week I spoke about Olympian Paul Brotherton drinking green juice to help re-build his depleted stamina. On Friday Paul and his crew won their category at the season opening Olympic classes regatta in France.

Why Juice?

People often ask me why juicing would be better than eating large amounts of vegetables. I think the most succinct explanation I’ve heard was given by (self styled juice master) Jason Vale. He said that the human body is really just like a juice machine.

We mash the vegetables up in our mouths, allow the juice to pass into our blood stream via our intestines and then pass the fibre out into “the collecting pot”!

When we drink fresh vegetable juice we take in large quantities of vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients in a highly bio-absorbable form. Multi-vitamin and mineral tablets are trying to achieve the same effect but they mainly use synthetic analogues (man made “look alikes!”).

It’s Alive!

Another advantage of freshly made juice is that it’s like eating raw food. Look at the Kirlian photographs of raw versus cooked cabbage to remind yourself of the energetic qualities that raw foods possess. The act of juicing vegetables will start to break the energetic qualities apart so ideally drink the juice within minutes of making it. You can put it in the fridge or in a thermos with ice, but two hours after “pressing” would be my top storage time limit.

Commercially produced vegetable juices are pasteurised (heated) to give them shelf life. This alters heat sensitive molecules, such as water soluble vitamins and disrupts their energetic qualities.

What to Juice:

What you’re looking for is high nutrient and low sugar. Carrots, apples, pears and pineapples are all really too high is sugar to be drunk as juice regularly. Adding small quantities of these sweeteners to vegetable juices to make them more palatable can help with getting started. Longer term I’d suggest using lemon or lime juice to take the edge off the green-ness!

Using green plant foods such as kale, chard, spinach, watercress and lettuce gives you a high level of chlorophyll. This is very good for helping to build healthy red blood cells. Grasses such as wheat and barley grass, although kind of funky tasting, are loaded with nutrients and chlorophyll. You’ll need an auger or twin gear juicer for them.

Use cucumbers and celery to give your juices volume. These low sugar foods yield high fluid volumes. Cabbage juice is particularly good for helping with digestive difficulties, but its best mixed with other low sugar fruits and vegetables for a better taste. You can also put broccoli and sprouted seeds and beans through the juicer.

Click here to see my green juice recipe.

Isn’t Drinking Green Powders Just As Good?

We have to remember that green powders with pH drops leave most convenience foods in the shade. They are however still made from dried vegetables with micro-electronic charges and Ph raising salts added. Eating fresh raw foods and (particularly if you are faced with a health challenge or want ultra performance) drinking fresh (mainly green) juices is essential to promote health.

Click here to listen to what Cindy Wheatcroft drank to help reverse breast cancer.

Remember!

Juicing removes the fibre from vegetables so I often have a glass of pHour salts before my juice to raise the pH and maintain intestinal motility! If you want to dilute your juices with alkaline water and add pH drops you can, but you will still get huge benefits from juice drinking it straight! Adding healthy oils such as hemp or flax can make juice slightly more calorific.

Action Plan:

Get juicing!

If you want to have the most cleansing and nutritious drink available then you need a juice machine and quite a large supply of fresh organic, mainly green (and leafy) vegetables.

Energise sell the best juicers available on the market. After experimenting with different brands I’ve now got an Oscar Vital Max. It’s the easiest juicer to use and clean that I’ve ever owned. If you’re budget is tight then see if you can stretch to the Matstone.

You may want to have a juice cleanse, where you only drink vegetable juice for a day or two (longer periods would need to be supervised). An easier way may be to incorporate vegetable juices into your healthy eating plan. A large green vegetable juice with a huge salad and some de-hydrated crackers is going to tick a lot of nutritional boxes.

Each fortnight we’re putting the best alkaline diet questions we receive from you to our Alkaline Diet Expert, Dr Young trained blood analyst and highly qualified nutritionist – Gareth Edwards.

Gareth is right at the very top of his field, so these answers are absolutely the best you’ll find from arguably Britain’s most qualified expert in this area!

Q&A With Gareth Edwards

Question One: Alkalising and Pregnancy

I am currently trying to get pregnant and I take supergreens for two weeks of the month. I take my greens then abstain around ovulation until my period starts. I feel it would be much more beneficial to take my greens every day, but is this safe if I conceived?? Is alkalising safe for pregnancy?

Yes! I’d recommend that you take them all the time. When you’re feeding your baby they’ll be great too!

Question Two: The Accuracy of pH Testing Strips

My saliva and urine has shown 5.75 for 4 weeks now, from going from a heavy meat-eater to a vegetarian and adding ph drops/greens. I don’t think they show the correct pH levels?

There’s going to be some flushing out of stored acids when you do this. If the pH stix are still showing a low pH in a couple more weeks start to look more closely.

If you want to check the accuracy of the stix you could invest in a metre: Click here to see the product range from a company called Cole Parmer.

Make sure it’s properly calibrated!

Remember that even vegetarian diets can be slightly acidifying, but you should be better off than you were on a diet high in animal protein.

Question Three: Is Wheatgrass Safe To Take When On Medication?

I would like to ask if wheatgrass safe if you’ve had a heart attack and are taking beta blockers and aspirin. We are taking 5ml of wheatgrass in juice everyday I would be very grateful for your advice. We have also been on the alkaline diet for 3 days.

The only possible challenge that I can see is that wheatgrass is a strong alkalising agent. Sometimes “de-toxing” too quickly can give some short term discomfort. Wheatgrass really is super healthy and dissolved in other juices I think it is unlikely to present you with any difficulties. Do make sure that the other juices are low sugar vegetables and fruit (i.e. not sweet fruit).

Cardio-vascular incidents can be concerning, but taking control of your health with healthy and alkalising dietary and hydration choices, as you are doing, has to be the best way to speed and aid recovery. Beta blockers and aspirin are designed to change your body and blood biochemistry, but you can have a huge effect with diet and hydration too.

You might want to consider reviewing changes in markers such as ESR, blood pressure and pulse rate with your physician, with a view to increasing the emphasis on diet and hydration over pharmacy. If any markers that are outside the reference ranges improve as you start to change what you eat and drink a discussion about reducing your medication, with your physician, should become possible.

Question Four: Are Coral Calcium Supplements Alkalising?

Could you give me some advice? This seemed like a good time to get into good alkalising eating habits as I’ve recently had a tongue operation, removing pre-cancerous cells, and been on liquids for about a month. I’ve just started introducing solids but I have problems digesting a lot of raw vegetables (they produce a lot of gas). My pH has been about 6.5 on the cooked vegetables and I thought it would be a good idea to take alkalising supplements to boost it, so I started using the phion drops and their green drink and some live-coral calcium capsules. The problem is, my readings seem to be more acidic now. Shouldn’t the coral be alkalising? I thought it was mostly calcium and magnesium, but could the trace minerals cause this? Does this mean I can’t use it to alkalise? The only other thing I can think of is the ph strips being old (the readings aren’t really clear). Do they have a life? I’d appreciate your help.

Coral calcium is a slightly controversial supplement from several points of view. Probably the most important question to you right now is does it make you more alkaline? You could try dissolving one or two of the coral calcium capsules in water and see if that raises the pH. That said I would probably recommend using Dr. Young’s pHour salts product (or even pure baking soda) rather than the coral calcium.

You may also find that some of the ingredients in the pH ion products that you are using may be having a slightly acidifying effect. Some people get on well with these products, but I would be cautious about pro-biotics and some of the algae. Try switching to Doc Broc’s Powerplants and use the Dr. Young product puripHy. I know categorically that puripHy lifts pH as we have tested it with a meter.

The accuracy of the strips is a potential issue, but they are usually right. For someone really applying themselves to their health, like you, you may want to consider getting an electronic meter to measure the pH of fluids. You would however need to calibrate the meter to be sure of its accuracy. Apparently this is a good one: Oakton® Waterproof EcoTestr™ pH 2 Pocket pH Meter. Click here to view this meter.

Do also persevere with trying to eat more raw food. Juicing your green vegetables should help and adding (not using exclusively!) cabbage juice should help. The pHour salts should also help you to break the food down, hopefully reducing flatulence.

Question Five: Weight Loss and Menopause

I am trying to shed about half a stone in weight, but going through the menopause it seems that whatever I do it just keeps anchoring itself to my belly and legs. I have cut out all sweet carbs, I never eat bread and rarely eat a potato, rice is a no-no and pasta occasionally. It just seems determined to stay and I have the most profound craving for sweet foods – what do you recommend in your array of supplements to help get rid of the weight and stop the sweet cravings? I have tried your green drink and still have some, but it fills me with gas if I try to drink it more than once a week. Looking forward to any help you may have to offer.

The fact that you are struggling with the green drink suggests that you may have a digestive in-balance. You could start by drinking a glass of water with a scoop of pHour salts dissolved in it on rising. Cravings for sugar can be helped by increasing your salt intake. This can feel counter strange when there are so many public health warnings encouraging you to avoid salt, but I have seen several patients’ blood pressure drop when their salt intake goes up. Use pHlavor spray and a good quality Himalayan or sea salt.

After that, I think I’d come back to your diet at the moment. Make sure that you are eating plenty of fresh (and ideally raw and mainly green) vegetables. Have plenty of healthy oils (olive and hemp particularly). Avoiding excessive carbohydrate intake is advisable, but often people replace that with calorific animal protein, such as fish or chicken. Chicken (and even fish) can be acidifying so if making more vegetarian choices means eating some grains or potatoes don’t be too afraid of the occasional addition of rice, lentils or whole grain pasta.

Flushing acids out of your body is important for weight loss. Drink two litres of water a day with pH drops such as puripHy added. If you can start adding tiny amounts of green powder (such as Dr Young’s Doc Broc Greens)that should help too. Be sure to take some gentle and enjoyable exercise. Medication can make weight loss more challenging.

Question Six: Can You Build Up Toxic Levels of Alkaloides by Consuming The Same Greens?

I have recently started making fresh green smoothies and bought Victoria Boutenko’s book on the subject. She makes a point of changing your greens at least every other day, since otherwise you build up toxic levels of alkaloids. From this I would gather that a powdered green couldn’t be taken more than 1x a week, since there are so many different greens in them. If you could shed some light on this for me, would be great.

Dietary variation is a good thing. The idea that endlessly consuming the same few foods (even if they are healthy) could lead to toxicity has some potential validity. I have huge respect for Victoria Boutenko (and her whole family). I do wonder if there is any scientific evidence to support her suggestion that alkaloids from green plant foods can produce toxicity when a particular plant is consumed regularly over a sustained period. It would be interesting to know what her evidence is for this view, or is it just a hunch?

If there is any validity in the suggestion, or clinical evidence to support it, then I would say that the plethora of ingredients in green powders will actually dilute any potential toxicity. Your exposure to one particular element would be dramatically reduced. Remember that what she is suggesting is that if you eat or drink say spinach and cucumber (and no other greens) every day there is potential that the alkaloid elements within them (which are different to the alkaloids in say chard) could build up and cause toxicity.

If you are concerned about this issue then you could have two or even three different brands of green powder that you rotate on two or three day cycle. I am not sure that I feel this is necessary. Remember that the green powders are packed with plenty of vital nutrients that your body needs. Juicing and blending a variety of fresh green plant foods is essential for ultimate well being too.

Yet for some reason it is still not mainstream. Since I’ve been using wheatgrass I’ve noticed my energy levels go sky high, my skin clear up and colds, coughs and illnesses disappear forever. Others have seen their gray hairs vanish, Rosacea clear up, bad breath subside, allergies clear up and a whole lot more.

You cannot detract from the simple fact that wheatgrass:

30mls of freshly squeezed wheatgrass juice is equivalent in nutritional value to 1kg of leafy green vegetables

Wheatgrass contains over 90 minerals, including high concentrations of the most alkaline minerals: potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium

It contains the essential enzymes: Protease (assists in protein digestion), Cytochrome Oxidase (a powerful anti oxidant), Amylase (facilitates digestion), Lipase (a fat splitting enzyme), Transhydrogenase (strengthens the heart muscle) & Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) (found in all body cells and is known for its ability to lessen the effect of radiation and slow cellular aging)

Just one teaspoon of Wheat Grass powder, weighing a mere 3.5 grams, is nutritionally equal to an entire spinach salad weighing a full 50 grams – it packs a punch!

Wheatgrass has more vitamin C than oranges and twice the vitamin A as carrots!

Wheat grass juice helps your body to build red blood cells which carry oxygen to every cell. By increasing the oxygenation the body you can help offset smog and carbon monoxide and increase your endurance during physical exercise

It also contains 19 amino acids, the building blocks of protein

Wheatgrass Health Benefits

Before I get onto where and how to get wheatgrass, I’m going to list out the four main reasons why I love wheatgrass so much:

Health Benefit of Wheatgrass #1: Wheatgrass Builds Blood: Many health experts including Dr Young (pH Miracle) and Steve Meyerowitz (Nature’s Finest Medicine) have highlighted that the chlorophyll molecule in wheatgrass is almost identical to the haemoglobin molecule in human blood. The only difference is that the central element in chlorophyll is magnesium and in haemoglobin it is iron.

Due to this inherent similarity the human body can easily transform chlorophyll into haemoglobin increasing the red blood cell count as well as the blood’s capacity to deliver oxygen and other nutrients to the body’s cells (Hagiwara, 1985) .

Chlorophyll has been shown to build red blood cells quickly, normalise blood pressure by dilating the blood pathways though out the body, destroy poisonous carbon dioxide, release free oxygen and promote higher metabolism and stimulated enzyme systems. On top of all of these benefits, consuming chlorophyll from wheatgrass is a highly effective way to alkalise the blood and energise the body!

Click here for more info on chlorophyll and its health benefits

Health Benefit of Wheatgrass #2: Wheatgrass Cleanses the Body: Wheatgrass is an extremely beneficial food in terms of both its cleansing capabilities. The contents of wheatgrass juice and powder (green drink) are reported to be within the region of approximately 100 separate elements with scientists dubbing it a ‘complete food’. According to ‘The Wheatgrass Book’ (Wigmore, 1985), just 140g of fresh wheatgrass offers the same nutritional value as over 3kg’s of fresh green vegetables!

Wheatgrass is a great source of vitamins B, C, E and carotene which are hugely effective in destroying and eliminating free radicals and cleansing the body. Wheatgrass is also highly regarded for its ability to cleanse the blood, organs and gastrointestinal tract.

Because it is also high in saponin, wheatgrass offers excellent support to the lymphatic system, helping to carry away hundreds and thousands of toxins from the cells of the body. Kulvinskas (Survival into the 21st Century, 1975) wheatgrass helps to ‘detoxify the body by increasing the elimination of hardened mucous, crystallised acids and solidified, decaying faecal matter…It is the fastest, surest way to eliminate internal waste and provide an optimum nutritional environment’.

These are just some of the cleansing benefits of wheatgrass, and I have barely scratched the surface with regards to listing its nutritional content. Put most simply, whether you are looking to undertake a formal cleanse, or simply try to add more nutrition to your diet – these reasons alone are enough to consider adding wheatgrass to your daily lifestyle.

Health Benefit of Wheatgrass #3: Wheatgrass Has High Amino Acid Content:: You may have heard the expression before that – amino acids are the building blocks of protein. They are absolutely essential to our growth and cell regeneration. It is the astonishingly high amino acid content in wheatgrass that is leading to many bodybuilders and gym-goers incorporating fresh or powdered wheatgrass juice into their daily routine.

Wheatgrass juice is a complete protein and contains, amongst others, the following amino acids: arginine, serine, absenisic, lysine, aspartic acid, glycine, alanine, methionine, leucine, tryptophane, phenylalanine, and valine.

Health Benefit of Wheatgrass #4: Wheatgrass Fights and Protects Against Illness: Organic wheatgrass powders and juices are an extremely effective way of boosting the body’s immune system to fight against and recover from illnesses and ailments. Wheatgrass is a great source of beta carotene, contains most of the B vitamins and vitamins C, E, H and K, and also contains over 90 different minerals and 19 amino acids. It also contains several active enzymes which play a major role in breaking down fats, undertaking biological functions and assist hugely in weight loss. Of the 90 minerals found, many of these are very alkalising and include calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and iron.

Many of the health benefits of wheatgrass stem from the fact that it is a living food. Being highly anti-bacterial, consuming wheatgrass will help to alkalise and detoxify the lymph and blood cells, helping the body to rebuild and transport toxins out of the body quickly and effectively.

Again, coming back to the chlorophyll content of wheatgrass – this can protect the body from carcinogens more effectively than any other food. Studies conducted on animals have shown that wheatgrass consumption has reduced the absorption of a number of very serious carcinogens whilst strengthening cells, detoxifying the liver and neutralising polluting elements within the blood.

But I thought wheat was acidifying?

Good question. The simple answer is: wheat is acidifying. The fully grown, harvested, stored, milled and prepared wheat plant is highly acidifying. But as with almost every grain, when sprouted it is very alkaline, and this is certainly the case with wheatgrass.

Do not worry about wheatgrass being acidifying, it really, really isn’t!

Where to Get Wheatgrass

There are three main ways to incorporate wheatgrass into your life. There are pro’s and con’s (sort of) of each, and getting a bit of each is probably best!

Wheatgrass Supplements

Wheatgrass (and other grass) supplements are powdered greens, condensed down, that you simply mix with water and drink! There are many, many, grass supplements out there so make sure you pick one that works for you. Here are my main tips to make sure you’re getting a good one, and after that it is really down to taste!

Make sure it is organic

Make sure it is powdered juice, not just powdered plant

Make sure it isn’t heat-dried

Make sure there are no fruits or sweeteners added

Make sure it doesn’t contain spirulina or any other algae, which are acidifying

It is also good to aim for a mix of grasses, alongside wheatgrass to get an even wider range of health benefits.

Here are my top three wheatgrass supplements:

Sweet Wheat: This is the original and probably the best organic freeze dried wheat grass juice powder on the market.

Contains ONLY the juice and provides an extraordinary balance of all the vital nutrients and minerals the body can use. One teaspoon of Sweet Wheat is roughly equivalent to one to two ounces of fresh wheatgrass juice. One ounce of wheatgrass juice equals the nutritional equivalent of 1.5 pounds of organic vegetables.

[click here to find out more]

Dr Young’s Power Plants: Dr Young is the world authority on the alkaline diet, so when he makes supplements, you tend to sit up and notice. This is a 4th generation green drink (he created the 1st too – SuperGreens) containing high quantities of wheatgrass, alongside barley grass, shave grass, dog grass and the powdered juice of vegetables such as broccoli, celery, spinach and more.

This stuff works, it gives you a real buzz and it tastes light, fresh and summery!

[click here to find out more]

MegaGreens: a highly concentrated blend of 34 superfoods, 17 amino acids, vegetables, minerals, vitamins, omega oils, enzymes and more that will completely revolutionise your training. The dense hit of nutrients from each serve delivers instant and sustained energy and provides your body with the tools it needs for weight loss, muscle growth, rehydration, repair and replenishment.

By infusing your body with easily absorbed nutrients, omega oils & amino acids (and with only 3 calories per serve) Mega Greens gives your body the fuel it needs to burn fat and build muscle.

[click here to find out more]

Fresh Wheatgrass

Buying your wheatgrass fresh from a juice bar is also a great way to get your wheatgrass health fix! Make sure they snip and juice the grass right in front of you though! I’ve seen some sneaky bars in Sydney having it delivered, already juiced! Pretty much all of the benefits are gone if you don’t have it fresh.

Having your wheatgrass freshly juiced is a great way to feel the instant energy hit, it is so noticeable!

Growing Your Own Wheatgrass

And finally, you can grow and juice your own! This is great fun, not all that time consuming, and not all that expensive either! All you need are:

Some space

Wheatgrass seeds

Sprouting trays or an automatic sprouter (such as an EasyGreen)

Patience

A pair of scissors

A masticating or manual juicer

In that order.

Note, you can’t grow wheatgrass in a standard sprouter (such as this) and you can’t juice wheatgrass in a standard juicer (such as this). But having said that, the masticating juicers (such as this) are far better quality in my opinion anyway, you you’re better off buying one of these anyway.

So there you have it! Can you think of any reason not to start having your daily wheatgrass juice? The health benefits and ease of use make it a pretty simple decision!

Get yer wheatgrass ‘ere!
